Funeral choices can be confusing. There are two main questions that you need to answer:

How will you put the body of your loved one to rest?

Burial or Cremation?

The most common way to put a loved one to rest are burial and cremation.

Burial is where your loved one’s body is prepared and laid to rest in the earth.

Cremation is where your loved one’s body is exposed to extreme heat and reduced to ashes.

After cremation, you may keep your loved one’s ashes in an urn, scatter them in a meaningful place or bury them in the earth

There are many other forms of burial and cremation. There are various types of green burials, sea burials and aquamations or other green cremations.

How will you celebrate and honor the life of your loved one?

Funeral or Memorial?

Many people confuse ‘Funeral’ with ‘burial’ but a funeral refers to the ceremony to celebrate a loved one’s life

The difference between a funeral service and a memorial service is your loved one’s body is present at a funeral but not at a memorial

A ‘Visitation’ or ‘Viewing’ is a common way you family can say final goodbyes to your loved one

Funerals, Memorials, Visitations and other services can be fully customized to fit your needs

The most important thing is that you can remember and say goodbye to your loved one in a way that fits you and your family

Traditional Funeral Services

A traditional funeral and burial service is the most common type of funeral service in many cultures. It typically involves a visitation, a funeral ceremony, and a burial, but it can customized to your family’s needs. The visitation is an opportunity for you, your family and friends to pay respects to the deceased and offer condolences. During the funeral ceremony, there may be religious or cultural traditions observed, and eulogies may be delivered by family members or close friends. After the ceremony, the body is taken to the cemetery for burial, and a graveside service may be held where the final prayers or goodbyes are offered and the casket is lowered into the ground.

Cremation Services

Choosing cremation services provides a flexible alternative to traditional burials. The service can include visitations, memorial ceremonies, or celebrations of life personalized to your family’s desires. After the cremation process, your loved one's remains will be placed in an urn or another container, which can be buried, stored in a columbarium, or returned to you. Cremation services can be tailored to your preferences and beliefs, accommodating various religious or non-religious practices, and allowing for unique tributes to your loved one's life and legacy.

Greek Funeral Services

Greek Funeral Services are steeped in history and tradition, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Greek Orthodox community. Our staff has extensive knowledge of the Greek customs, rituals and traditions. We are involved in the local Greek community and Greek churches, which means we have the contacts and resources needed to easily plan a Greek funeral service. We provide everything your family needs for a traditional Greek funeral service. We include the icons for a visitation, a Greek Orthodox cross to place inside and outside of the casket, a Savino (traditional burial shroud), traditional Greek prayer cards, pall bearer gloves, a register book, olive oil and dirt.

Veteran Services

Planning a veteran service for your loved one honors their dedication and sacrifices made during military service, recognizing their commitment to their country. These services often include special military honors, such as the playing of "Taps," a flag-folding ceremony, and a presentation of the flag to you, the family. Eligible veterans may also receive burial benefits, including a gravesite in a national cemetery, a grave marker, and a presidential memorial certificate. A veteran service pays tribute to your loved one's service and provides a fitting and respectful farewell for those who have valiantly served their nation.
